What is Stress?
Stress is a modern term used to describe the human state when psychological pressures exerted on us by situations which seem to be outside of our control, become too much and start to cause both mental and physical symptoms.
We have an in-built primeval instinct to either fight or flee in response to danger. While nowadays we don't often come across threats to our lives; our work and families create pressures and stresses to which our bodies react. When that reaction is out of proportion to the perceived threat it is called stress and can manifest inself in many ways.
Aromatherapy is a gentle and effective way of dealing with the symptoms of daily stress. It eases muscle tensions while moisturising the skin and relaxing the senses.
While many aromatherapy treatments are provided by trained beauty therapists, the oil blends used are often proprietary.
